Imagine owning your own beach hotel in scenic and secluded Cabo Matapalo. Located in the small town of Cabo Matapalo at the southern tip of Costa Rica. The hotel features accommodations up to 18 guests inside the main house, bunkhouse, and cabanas.

This 3,400 sq meter property features its own tropical gardens, nature trails, and rainforest jungle with wildlife like the scarlet macaw and the howler monkey. This property also features a private yoga platform and exclusive beach access. It would be a great investment for a small beach hotel or a bed and breakfast.
It offers a secluded retreat for you and your guests.

All of the buildings include secure wood and cement construction with an abundance of fruit trees and tropical plants around them. This is an area of Costa Rica that has been untouched so you’ll get to experience the true beauty of the lush rainforests and the world-class ocean waves.

The town of Cabo Matapalo is known for keeping things 100 % natural so you will find each building at Shanti Wasi is solar powered. This property is secluded and off the beaten path, but is still only 15 km from Puerto Jimenez and the nearest airport.

We love the natural, open-air atmosphere. Each building was created to be one with planet earth. All the buildings are surrounded by tropical gardens and shaded coconut and mango trees. You’ll find hammocks hanging from many of these trees so you and your guests can just relax, gaze at the surroundings, or read a book. In fact, the main house features an extensive library of books for just that purpose. The main house has a large commercial kitchen, an open-air dining area, and an open-air sitting area with couches and hammocks. It includes accommodations up to five, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It includes 2 full-size canopy beds, surrounded by mosquito setting. It also features a set of loft-style beds: one twin and one full-size one. The main house features two bathrooms, including an outdoor shower.

The hotel also offers other accommodations and options. Casa Lapa features a fully-equipped kitchen and eat-in dining area. The cabana offers accommodations for up to five people since it features one double bed and a single bed in a spacious bedroom. The beds are outfitted with mosquito setting, and the room is kept cool with a ceiling fan. Guests will enjoy relaxing on the front porch on the sofa or the hammock.

Casa Titi is smaller and cozier and fits only up to three people. It also has a double bed, outfitted in mosquito netting, and there is a couch in the corner of the open-air living room for a third guest. It also features a working kitchen and dining area. This hotel also includes a 400 sq ft bunkhouse, which sleeps up to 4 additional people if needed.
The property features plenty of secure parking under a private carport. There is also a storage shed for surfboards or other water toys. It even comes with a 300 sq ft bodega workshop, where you can work on projects.
One of our favorite things about this property is how it embodies nature and healing. It features a 1,500 sq ft yoga temple, ideal for continuing the daily classes. There is also an area for therapeutic massage, using some of the Osa rainforest ingredients.

You’re surrounded by jungle trails, a private beach, and overflowing waterfalls. If you’re daring, you can try to slide down one. One of the nature trails leads directly to the beach. It is also only a five-minute walk to the Carbonera River, which flows into the Pacific Ocean.
You’ll experience several eco-adventures, living in the heart of Cabo Matapalo, including exploring Corcovado National Park. This national park encompasses more than one-third of the area. It includes many endangered species, such as the squirrel monkey and the Jaguar. Surfing is also popular. You’ll find more beginners at Playa Pan Dulce, and longboarding and steeper waves and Backwash Beach.

With so much untouched natural beauty, this property is a one-of-a-kind secluded retreat. We invite you to tour this scenic getaway in Southern Costa Rica and consider investing it. It would be the ideal place for you to live while listening to the waves, and bring in some extra income.
