It is called ‘Casa Vista Wow!’ - The Best Ocean Views – 5.5 Acres – Over 14 Structures
Words, photos and even videos cannot convey the impression one feels when arriving at this impressive property.
This picturesque site was chosen by a couple familiar with the tropics and who knew exactly what they wanted: Something very special. They had the advantage of being here decades before the boom in popularity that brought many developers and residents to Costa Rica. They looked throughout Costa Rica and saw many places on the undeveloped coast line. When they came across this spot, with nothing else nearby for a long distance, they knew they had found the setting they were looking for. The perch, the view, the large usable property, surrounded by wildlife and natural flora, and still near enough to the basic necessaties.
The property is almost 5 ½ acres and comes with over 14 structures and private mini-environments. This could be a luxury Eco Yoga Spa, a special Boutique Hotel or the best private tropical residence to be found.
After the impressive entry gate, one winds down a cobblestone driveway and the first building is an extra-large workshop, complete with all the tools for every job and the space to make whatever you need. Then, on the left is the Museo Tico, a collection of local artifacts, art, tools and antique farm equipment, all hand made. Immediately you feel the expanse of the property, the placement of the buildings without interference with the natural setting, the blending of the architecture into the surroundings.
Further along there is a small kiosk building with plants and a small table, a private get-away spot. Across from this is a small parking garage and then, the main house comes into view. But, beyond the house, almost just below it, is the majestic blue Pacific Ocean reaching out to the farthest horizon.
On the lower level of the home are more parking garages and then two private apartments with baths. At the entry to the home is a large open-air social room with comfortable seating around an immense wooden table and a complete kitchen, all enjoying the broad Pacific views. Even more rural antique Costa Rican artifacts adorn the grand room while above there are sculptures and paintings from Bali and Indonesia where the owner once lived. You will find little statues and artwork of mostyl Bali artwork subtly distributed throughout the 5- acre property, a pleasant, humorous and sometimes mystical discovery.
In front of the home there is a mosaic pool and jacuzzi pool, both looking over the ocean. Next to the pool area is a large open platform for exercise, yoga or as a classrom or a myriad of uses. To the side and below the home are barbeque areas, small intimate ocean view tables, carefully positioned for privacy while enjoying the views.
Walking past the exercise platform there is a large open space that leads to a cobblestone patio featuring colorful benches of different types, a regular long bench and a King Neptune bench for watching the sunrise, sunset or even the moon rise, all visible form this vantage point.
At the end of this patio are two separate bungalows, one bedroom and one bath each, with the same endless Pacific views. One is complete with a kitchen as well.
From the main road there is a second gate that opens to the caretakers’ home, a modern two bedroom, two bath home with parking. Near that home is a large water storage tank to guarantee water supply in all situations.
Further down is another entrance gate that leads to a road the passes by the large plant nursery building down to the private cabinas. Trails weave through the property over crossing over metal bridges.
All in all, there is no other property on the coast that offers the spectacular views, the variety of environments, and the assortment of workshops, lodging and social settings. Please call for an appointment to see this remarkable estate.
